Teacher's Christmas gifts

School breaks up on Friday and it will be Gemma's last day at Sterreliggieland before she goes to her new school next year.

We decided to spoil her teachers with little presents (with the help of Ouma) we made Mini Christmas cakes.

I've also attached the recipe just in case you want to make them yourself.

Fruit Cake (Ouma Vienie 1976):

 

500g Fruit cake mix

1 cup Brown suger

1 cup warm rooibos tea

1/4 tl salt

Mix altogether and let it stand overnight

 

Add:

2 cups self raising flourl

1 tl oil

1 beaten egg

cherry's, nuts, green figs

Mix everything together and place dough in a muffin tins that's been lined with wax paper.  Bake for +/- 1 hour at 175 C

Sprinkle lightly with brandy every 2 days

 

Play Dough - Fun

 

Gemma and I decided to make some home made play dough and I found some wonderful recipes on Homemade Playdough Recipes they have the most wonderful recipes.  Go along and have a look.  This is what we made.

Glow worm

Last night my husband called me to come a look at a funny light at the bottom of our garden, I immediately got the camera and this is what we found!

World of Dogs and Cats expo 2010

 

A visit to The World of Dogs & Cats expo  resulted in one happy little girl, her ouma won VIP tickets and decided to treat us.  What fun!!! 

Even Mommy enjoyed her self, here is a picture of me hold a pet RAT.  My budding photographer took the photo, not bad!!

My Baby shoes had her 2nd concert last night! it was gorgeous, well done baby!
