Packing - Moving

And so the fun begins and I thought the worst part was over, we've recently sold our house which means the packing has commenced.

World of Dogs and Cats expo 2010

 

A visit to The World of Dogs & Cats expo  resulted in one happy little girl, her ouma won VIP tickets and decided to treat us.  What fun!!! 

Even Mommy enjoyed her self, here is a picture of me hold a pet RAT.  My budding photographer took the photo, not bad!!

Mother's day

For mother's day this year I decided to go the "homemade" route and because its nearly winter here in South Africa (winter already in Cape Town) I decided to make rice microwave bean bags.  They turned out fantastic, I even infused them with lavender essence.  My Mother & Mother in law loved them! I'm so pleased with myself.

Will definitely be making these again! I really need one!

Mother's Day

With Mother's Day approaching..... Thought I should just remind you how special you are.  You might not be a mother yet, but you may be a girlfriend, a wife a sister, an aunt, a good mother.............  To those who have recently given birth... Congrats Those who are pregnant.... You are carrying the most precious cargo... stay healthy and enjoy the 9 months. Those who have miscarried... stay strong, everything happens for a reason. Those who have conceived and don't know it yet.... prepare yourself for the best experience of your life. Those who are looking after their siblings.... you are doing a great job. Those who have adopted... we need more angels like you. Those who are single moms... you are our hero's stay strong. Those who have recently lost their mothers, aunts, sisters, wives & girlfriends... I sympathies, they are at a better place but their spirit lives on.  Those who have mothers but do not get along with.... if the relationship is worth fixing, then fix it and don't regret later. The list goes on and on... God has a plan for all of us.  Regardless of what happens or does not happen, everything happens for a reason  Always know that you are special and never settle for less.

Ok so I can't paint, but I've been dying to try something different, this is my first "felt canvas art" hopefully more to follow, but as a working mother of a 3 year old, I find it very difficult to have "ME" time!
